Installing a gravel shed foundation in West Virginia

The Site Preparation Process

Step 1: Get A Free Quote

The process starts with us providing a customized quote for your project. This applies whether you are installing a gravel pad  or a concrete foundation. Assuming the site is within 8 inches of level, we can give you a quote without even having to visit your location. Pricing may vary depending on how far off-level the ground is.

If your slope is steeper than usual, we’ll come out to your location and take a look at it in person, so we can give you an accurate quote. You’re also welcome to send us pictures of your preferred storage shed location. This will help us better determine how off-level it may be or determine other factors like stumps.

Step 2: Schedule An Installation Date

Once you approve the quote, we’ll work with you to get you a date on our schedule for completing the installation. We’ll confirm that it works well for you and that you’re ready for your shed delivery.

Your site preparation can usually be completed within 2-4 weeks of approving your quote. It’s best if you’re able to order your shed ahead of time to avoid us waiting for the shed company, or visa versa. We can communicate directly with your shed company to make your pad installation as hassle-free as possible for you.

Step 3. Install Your Shed Pad or Foundation

Typically, we can do your site preparation in only half a day (4-6 hours depending on the size and grade of the job).

When we get to your location, all you need to do is show the shed pad contractors on our crew where you’d like the foundation installed. That means if you’re working, you can go home, let the crew know where you’d like your foundation installed, and then head back to work. We want to save you as much time as possible, while ensuring your structure is in the correct location. Once you determine the final location of the shed foundation, the crew will check the grade of the slope to determine the off-level measurement. If the site is more than 8” off-level the crew will collect the balance of the payment when the job is done.

We recommend checking with your township when determining where you want your shed, to see if there are any setback requirements, etc.

Follow Up

Once your job is completed, we’ll follow up with you to see how everything went and make sure you’re happy.  It’s important to us that you get what you’re expecting. We’ll be glad to listen to any feedback you can give, as well. We want to continue improving our services!
