Gravel Site Prep

Why Gravel Site Prep?

A strong base is crucial to the longevity of your outdoor structure and a gravel pad or foundation may be exactly what you need. We know that your needs can vary depending on the type of structure you are installing and where it is located, that is why you have the option of 3 different types of gravel site prep.  Most of the gravel pads and foundations can be finished in one day, allowing for immediate use of your pad or foundation. You are getting the best stone foundation in the industry from Site Prep!

3 Reasons Gravel Site Prep Is Important

  1. Drainage: Gravel allows for better water drainage compared to a surface like soil. Gravel is permeable which helps prevent water accumulation and potential moisture damage to the structure above.
  2. Stability: It provides a stable, even surface, reducing the risk of structural shifting or settling over time, which can be caused by uneven or soft ground.
  3. Weed and Erosion Control: Gravel acts as a barrier against weed growth and erosion, maintaining the integrity of the site and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

No! Gravel pads also make great gazebo foundations, hot tub pads, patio/fire pit areas, and more! A gravel pad with stone dust (instead of 3/4″ stone) is a great option for a horse row barn or run-in shed foundation.
